Your October Cosmic Report - It’s time to take your power back

Happy October, my loves.

October brings us real signs of the death/rebirth cycle, as the leaves fall from the trees and everything in nature seems to be dying away and retreating into the earth. As nature is beginning to slow down and turn inwards in preparation for the impending winter, she asks us to do the same.

The energies of this month are calling you back within to yourself to find self-awareness, self-knowing, self-love and to take back your power and worth.

On 3rd October, Venus, the planet of love, relationships, self-worth, values, and beauty, stations retrograde in Scorpio, taking us on an intense dive within and into our relationship shadows. This retrograde is going to show you the truth around relationships and where you’ve been giving away your power, looking for love, validation and a sense of self-worth in all the wrong places and where you’ve been afraid to let go.

The Libra new moon on the 10th will amplify this asking you to look at your relationships with others, and whether they are in balance. You’ll also be shown where you are out of balance and alignment within yourself – where you are not being true to yourself or giving too much of you away.

As Pluto stations direct on the 16th, we’re asked to leave behind outdated versions of ourselves and all of the identities, roles and beliefs that we have outgrown so that we can step into a more powerful version of ourselves. This is where you put your internal shifts into action and make necessary changes that align with who you’re becoming.  

To help with this, Scorpio season on the 23rd will help you to face your shadows, find a true belief in your own power, reclaim your voice and remember your magic. This is a journey within for inner transformation and alchemy and knowing what you truly want.

On the 24th, Mercury joins Venus in a backwards dance through the skies, stationing retrograde in Scorpio. This double retrograde is going to dig up all that has been buried, suppressed or avoided, especially when it comes to relationships. Expect deep and meaningfuls, truths coming to light and possibly a 'case of the ex' if there is any unfinished business or you’ve never fully let go.

The 25th will bring things back into balance as Venus retrograde moves into Libra. Amidst all of the Scorpio retrograde intensity this softens everything and brings the ability for harmony, peace, fairness and deeper levels of connection, truth and romance. Just be mindful of relationship uncertainties or co-dependency, which should have become obvious over the last few weeks. Now is the time to face them.

The Taurus full moon illuminates our skies on the 26th, bringing a wake-up call and dragging what has been hidden into the light. Before we head into hibernation, this full moon wants you to let go of old emotions that you no longer need – such as blame, resentment, shame and anything that has been holding you down or keeping you stuck this year.

The month ends with Samhain on the 31st, the cross-quarter festival that celebrates the end of autumn and marks the first signs of winter. It is a turning point that takes us deeper into the inwardly-focused period of rest and stillness, honoring the death of the old and, with that, the promise of rebirth. This is the time to look at what needs to be allowed to die away and end in your life – not necessarily for good, but in its current version – in order that something new can grow in its place.
