The last Sagittarius new moon came to help you to help you to expand into a new traditional year and cosmic consciousness. Then, to help you to begin the year in deep devotion and commit to what you want was the Cancer full moon. Now, to help you to begin to take focussed action in the year ahead, is the Capricorn new moon.

Our first new moon of the traditional year is here to help us to fully move into and embrace the year ahead and this next big chapter of humanity.

It’s a preparation, an activation point, an ending and beginning. It's the moment that you set the tone for your year ahead, envision the future that you want and the kind of life that you want to live. And not just in a whimsical fantasy way, in a real, true and lasting way that you can and will make happen.

This moon is working with all the personal planets in Capricorn (apart from Venus who has just shifted into Aquarius), all working with Uranus and Saturn and Neptune and then going on to meet Pluto in Aquarius – this is a big portal of awakening, liberation and freedom and an empowered rebirth.

This is where you leave behind 2025 you and all that was ,and welcome 2026 you and all that can be.

This moon is going to ask you to do things differently. To look at what you have been trying to do or not do for a long time, and instead of continuing to do something that isn’t working, do it differently instead.

This new moon is a reality check, showing you what is complete in your life and needs to be let go of to get to the next level. With the moon happening right at the end of Capricorn, it’s a culmination point, helping you to see in a practical, grounded way all that has brought you to this point and what is no longer yours to carry.

This new moon is where you set your priorities and plan for the year ahead. It’s going to ask you what matters to you and ask you to put your energy, focus and awareness into that.

This isn’t a moon for quick fixes, but rather looking at what you want to invest in for the long term and making those things your focus, rather than scattering your energy all around into many different things that won’t make any true lasting difference in your life.

This new moon wants you to make the things happen. To dream in the life that you want and make the practical plan of how you will get there.

What needs to change as you move into 2026? It is time. If not now, when?
