What should I wear?
Anything comfortable that you can move freely in, it is best to avoid anything too lose fitting. We practice in bare feet so don’t worry about footwear.
What should I bring?
Just yourself and friends if you want to! If you do have a mat it is better to bring that along to practice on, but I do have spares that you can borrow. It is also a good idea to bring a blanket or warm layers for relaxation at the end of class.
Are the classes suitable for everyone?
If you have a reasonable level of fitness then you will be absolutely fine. It can sometimes just take a week or two to find your ‘flow’ and allow the body to begin to open up. If you do have any medical conditions or injuries please contact me to discuss the suitability of the class and relevant variations.
Can I come if I am pregnant?
If you have practiced yoga before then to continue to practice throughout pregnancy is very beneficial. However, if you are totally new to yoga then pregnancy is not the ideal time to begin a Vinyasa Flow practice. Please contact me to discuss further.
Should I eat before the class?
To get the most benefit from your practice it is advisable to practice on an empty stomach, leaving at least 3-4 hours after a big meal for your food to digest. If this isn’t possible then a light snack of fruit or nuts up to an hour before class will be fine. As a general rule of thumb the closer to the class you eat the less you should try to eat.
